Written by Sara Akins, PBI Limos — South Florida Travel & Transportation Specialist · Local service guidance for Fort Lauderdale
Fort Lauderdale matters to us mainly for two things travelers get wrong: FLL and Port Everglades sit close enough together that a cruise-and-flight day can run on one reservation, and FLL is often the cheaper way into Palm Beach even though it is the further airport. If you are flying into FLL and staying in Palm Beach County, that is a flat-rate northbound run of roughly an hour, flight-tracked from the inbound so a delay moves the pickup rather than stranding you. Cruise days work the same way in reverse — disembarkation timing at Port Everglades drives the pickup, not the clock.
What we’re known for in Fort Lauderdale
- FLL arrivals met inside the terminal with a name sign, flight-tracked and flat-rated
- FLL-to-Palm Beach County transfers around an hour northbound — frequently the cheaper way to reach Palm Beach than flying into PBI
- Port Everglades cruise transfers timed to sailing and disembarkation, and combinable with an FLL flight on the same reservation
- Coverage past the city line — Hollywood, Weston and Coral Springs on the same flat-rate basis
